This property, a Grade II Listed Building, suffered a huge fire which resulted in the loss of the first and second floors. Working closely with the clients, the Conservation Officers, the loss adjusters, Highways, planning, neighbours, the structural engineers, building control...... (the list goes on), we used the opportunity to create boutique bedrooms as well as re-constructing and upgrading the trade areas. Full record drawings of the damaged structure were requested by the local authority and English Heritage prior to the demolition of parts condemned by the Structural bods. This involved us walking the wobbly plank(s)!
